Product Overview

• The Problem: Young songwriters in the US face limited opportunities to develop their creative expression and struggle with writer’s block.

Introducing Our Initial Product: The Reference Track Research Plugin

• Traditionally, artists spend hours searching for ideal reference tracks on platforms like YouTube or Spotify, repeatedly trying different keywords until they find the right fit.
• Our DAW plugin streamlines this process by suggesting the best reference tracks in a playlist format, helping artists overcome creative blocks.
• The plugin combines LLM (Large Language Model) and MIR (Music Information Retrieval) to recommend tracks based on the emotions or goals the artist wants to express, such as “a calm and deep intro” or “a melody with more variation.”
• By integrating the Spotify API, the plugin suggests a wide range of tracks from real artists, addressing the common issue of AI-generated recommendations feeling monotonous.
